A couple inherited a property in a state of serious disrepair...

03 September 2010

The couple have had numerous financial complications over the years resulting in a serious debt burden which they could not service.  Both have serious life limiting illness and disabilities which they believed to be exacerbated by the stress of their financial position and the state of their home.

The property needed complete refurbishment including rewiring, replacing a rotten bay window, removal of dangerous chimney stacks, installing air and roof vents and additional roof supports, lead work, installing built-in cupboards, blocking a doorway to make an entrance into a toilet, additional powerpoints, new lighting in the loft and cellar, and complete redecoration of two rooms.

The Solution

London Rebuilding Society carried out all the works required to adapt their home to their needs and restore the property to its former glory.  The couple also consolidated all their debts and outstanding mortgages meaning they have vastly increased their monthly income.

They said,

"Our lives will be changed for the better especially for Susan with her debilitating conditions. We have pride in our home again..."
