Grace Adok wins Bank of America 'Local Hero Award'.

Grace Adok founder of Latitude Care Network (LCN) charity, a member of London Rebuilding Society's Mutual Aid Fund (MAF)
has won the Local Hero category of Bank of America's Neighbourhood Excellence Initiative (NEI) Awards. Tim Campbell, winner of the apprentice, presented the awards.

Having come to the UK as a refugee 20 years ago, Grace has dedicated her life to helping the disadvantaged to improve their lives. In 2005 she founded Latitude Care Network (LCN) charity, now working with vulnerable groups in London and Uganda."
Mayor of Brent Cllr Alsam Choudry also came to see Grace win the award. LCN provides a range of excellent programmes among others: health and social support, advice and advocacy, counselling, education, training & employment, mutual aid fund/microfinance, international development etc.
The Mutual Aid Fund is an innovative scheme devloped by London Rebuilding Society which enables community groups to run microcredit funds for their members.
