Rod Lyons, Chair
Rod is a senior regeneration practitioner, and currently the Director of a management consultancy called Strategy Link.
Previously Rod lead the national regeneration practice of Odgers Ray & Berndtson, the international search consultants, and headed up the regeneration functions of two local authorities - latterly directing Thurrock Council's input into the creation of the Thurrock Thames Gateway Urban Development Corporation.
He has considerable experience of all aspects of economic development and regeneration, including working closely and directly with businesses and business support organisations and of working with multi-agency and multi-sectoral local and sub-regional partnerships.
Over the course of his career, he worked closely at a senior level with key agencies such as the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (as was), Government Offices for the Regions, English Partnerships and Regional Development Agencies amongst others, as well as previously acting as an adviser to the Association of London Government (now London Councils) on regeneration issues.
