A Bright Tomorrow

A Bright Tomorrow (ABT) was set up by a group of women who are members of Acts Ministries International, a registered charity.

ABT works with single mothers and women who have been or are victims of domestic violence, as well as refugees and asylum seekers.

Its aim is to act as a community outreach arm and empower women by encouraging them to set up their own businesses. To that end, members of ABT underwent LRS's Learning to Lend training, which qualified ABT as a Community Investment Intermediary (CII) and enables it to make secondary enterprise loans to its own members.

This it does via a self-help investment and loan scheme, called the Women's Auxiliary Fund, which is part-financed by a £30,000 loan from LRS under its Mutual Aid Fund scheme.
