Modbloc was set up in January 2009 by Christopher Spencer and Matthew Snow to produce design-led, high-quality, environmentally friendly garden studios/offices made from used shipping containers.
Most suitable for gardens with access of a maximum 20m from the road, the units are craned in to the site and then connected to electricity and telecoms.
They need no foundations, and in most cases do not even need planning permission. They can also be moved and re-sited if required.
LRS provided a loan of £12k for business start-up expenses.
