Green Oil UK makes environmentally friendly bicycle maintenance products.
Run by Simon Nash, the company has already sold over 10,000 bottles of Green Oil Chain Lubricant, Green Clean Bike Cleaner, Clean Chain Degreaser and Ecogrease.
These biodegradable and non-toxic products are stocked in 100 shops nationwide and have received critical acclaim and many awards.
Simon started the company with just a single product, The Green Oil Chain Lubricant. He developed this as an alternative to the unhealthy, environment damaging petrol chemical lubricants which frequently contain Teflon. 
As the environmental damage from petrochemical lubricants is a growing issue for cyclists this has been picked up by The Ecologist Magazine in a ‘Look behind the label’ feature.
Green Oil products are made with essential oils which gives them a pleasant odour and even the bottles are refillable at a discount. He also stocks a number of other green products including solar powered bike lights and dynamo lights.
A loan from LRS of £20,000 has enabled Green Oil to source raw materials and ingredients in order to scale up production and meet the demand of new distributors in the UK and abroad.
