Greener Diesel
Greener Diesel is the largest biodiesel producer in London and makes biodiesel called GD100 from used cooking oil (UCO).
There is an increasing demand for biodiesel made from recycled vegetable oil because it saves approximately 90% CO2, 20% less CO, dust and particulates.
Greener Diesel has a target production of 35,000 litres of UCO per week.
This would save 32,041 tonnes of CO2 a week (using DEFRA figures), which is the equivalent of taking about 1,396 diesel cars off the road a week.
Greener Diesel sources the UCO from small to medium size businesses in the M25 area, through Greener Diesel trading as GreenerOil.co.uk (Greener Oil).
LRS has made a loan of £50,000 to Greener Diesel to finance the expansion of the business.
