Ethnic Business Development Corporation
EBDC is a voluntary sector network which supports ethnic minorities in the UK in the areas of business and organisational development and represents around 700 UK-based organisations active in the voluntary and community sectors.
Set up in 1997, EBDC has grown dramatically to become one of the leading black-led voluntary organisations in the country. One of its strands is Business Incubation, a pioneering project which offers office space, meeting rooms and conference facilities for new-start BME businesses in London. At present, it provides amenity space for around 20 organisations, including private businesses, faith groups, community voluntary organisations and social enterprises. Its function rooms are used by over 5,000 individuals every year and it attracts clients from across London, particularly Lewisham, Greenwich, Southwark, Newham, Bromley, Bexley and Lambeth.
