Theatro Technis
Based at Mornington Crescent, Camden, Theatro Technis aims to maintain a balance between classical and contemporary work.
In June 2006 it ran an adaptation of The Persians by the ancient Greek playwright Aeschylus, which dates from the early fifth century BC and contemporary work with the Dark Edge Theatre Company, in November 2006 it staged a production of Shelagh Stephenson's Five Kinds of Silence and serves to embrace a variety of diverse art forms ranging from theatre and dance, art, photography, music and film.
It boasts photographic dark room facilities with reduced rates for students, and provides a daytime internet service, also at competitive rates (in addition to broadband, users have access to a CD-R burner, printing and photocopying facilities).
London Rebuilding Society 'played' its part by making a loan of £10,000 to Theatro Technis towards the purchase of its building.
