The Courtyard Theatre Company
The Courtyard Theatre Company was formed in 1980, and with the establishment of the Court Theatre Training Company in 1989 the Theatre moved to premises near King’s Cross station.
The recent redevelopment of the King's Cross area meant that the theatre had to leave, and it has now found premises in Hoxton.
The former Hoxton Library is Grade II listed, and with the help of a £60,000 loan from LRS to fund the refurbishment, now contains a main theatre seating 150, a studio theatre seating 70, live music and gallery space, rehearsal studios and an exclusive bar providing Italian wines.
The Courtyard will continue its policy of presenting new work as well as a varied mixture of classical and popular plays.
