Artists in Residence (AIR)
Artists in Residence (AIR) is a education and community arts company, working mainly in schools. It specialises in using media, from music and video to poetry and creative writing, to help marginalised and disadvantaged young people to build their social skills and confidence.
Having established itself in the market AIR now wants to broaden its scope and offer training packages using the arts to help companies re-train or induct their staff, offering workshops in Team Building, Communication skills and Presentation skills. The surplus that comes from this service will subsidise the work with schools and communities.
AIR's £15,000 loan from LRS will be used to purchase professional video and computer equipment and to develop marketing materials. This is to improve the quality and efficiency of their service and to target the corporate market.
