Flourish International

Flourish International began as a project under Family Support Advocates (FSA) and has now been established as an independent entity.

FSA was one of the first organisations to invest in LRS' Mutual Aid Fund scheme and has been working with the Society since 2003.

FSA is a self-help community organisation that aims at empowering and enabling disadvantaged persons to reach their full potential. The organisation has spawned a number of community enterprises that include Flourish International, the African Women Development Agency, Flourish (a fresh fruit delivery project), Kommunity Kitchen (a catering project) and a nappy-making project.

Flourish International aims to turn exclusion into inclusion by, among other things, developing women's enterprise skills in areas such as catering, sewing, tie and dye, and craft making. As part of that process, it has received a £28,000 loan from LRS to set up a self-help investment and loan scheme.
