African Women’s Enterprise Group
African Women Enterprise Group Limited (AWEG) is a voluntary organisation whose aims are to empower and improve the quality of life of people of African origin in the Greater London area.
Its activities centre on:
- youth mentoring and coaching
- women's pathway to employment
- women's health project
- cultural activities
With a £28,000 loan from LRS, AWEG will establish a loan fund for business start-ups or existing micro-enterprises to promote enterprise development among disadvantaged communities and in this way contribute to economic development and poverty alleviation in London.
