Adrian Paul, Financial Capability Coach (on secondment to Fair Money)
Adrian was previously acting branch manager for the Lambeth Building Society in Brixton, and his expertise is as a mortgage broker, actually selling financial products to the general public.
A major part of Adrian's role is in identifying how we present our equity swap scheme to potential clients and investors in a way that is customer, not product, orientated.
For example, current equity release products do not sufficiently investigate a homeowner's state of mental and physical health, how it impacts on their ability to make informed decisions, and whether a possible future deterioration in their health means that it would be actually more beneficial for them to sell their home and buy something smaller and more manageable.
