Shares in LRS

Shares have a nominal value of £1; the minimum investment is £250 (which can be paid in instalments), the maximum holding is £20,000.  There are no charges or fees to pay.

London Rebuilding Society is accredited under the government's Community Investment Tax Relief scheme (CITR), which is jointly run by HM Revenue and Customs, and the DTI's Small Business Service.  CITR enables us to offer 5% tax relief to higher, basic rate and corporation tax-payers who keep their funds for five years.  This is a return equivalent to 6.4% gross per annum for basic rate tax-payers, 8.33% for higher rate tax-payers and 7.1% for corporations.

In addition, London Rebuilding Society aims to offer interest (paid in shares) in future years, once we are able to cover our expenses from the interest which we charge on our lending.
