This series of courses is provided at no charge to social enterprise participants as part of the SETLL programme of support for social enterprises funded by London Councils. The charge for commercial businesses is £50 per participant for each course.

Understanding Business Finance

This workshop will give you an overview of the smartfinance programme which looks at the different financial elements you will need to master in order to produce investment ready business plans and run your social enterprise successfully. We will also launch the LRS on-line business planning toolkit.
Sales Forecasting for Success

'The biggest cause of business failure is getting the 'top line' wrong'. This workshop will show how to use sales forecasting to develop realistic 'top line' sales figures and produce viable cash flow and profit and loss forecasts.
Pricing for Profit

A practical look at the concepts of Cost, Break-even and Pricing in order to ensure that your social enterprise not only pays the bills but also makes a profit or surplus income in order to fund survival and growth.
Helping your Cash Flow

This practical workshop will look at producing and critiquing believable and realistic cash flows. This will enable you and your investors to look at how the money flows in and out of your business - your liquidity - and whether the numbers add up.
Practical Profit and Loss

Whilst cash flow is vital, especially in the early stages of your business, you will only grow in the long term if you make profits. This workshop shows how Profit and Loss forecasts, in tandem with the cash flow, helps you develop your long-term profitability.
