Finance 4 Investment

This workshop will give you an overview of the smartfinance programme which looks at the different financial elements you will need to master to produce investment ready business plans and run your social enterprise successfully. We will also cover the LRS on-line business planning toolkit.

Basic Bookkeeping

Sometimes ignored or left to others, keeping records of your spending and sales is important to give you the information you need to know what is going on in your business. This workshop looks at simple straightforward methods of bookkeeping that anyone can use as the basis of their financial planning.

Pricing 4 Profit

A practical look at the concepts of Cost, Breakeven and Pricing in order to ensure that your social enterprise not only pays the bills but also makes a profit or surplus income in order to fund survival and growth.

Watching the Cash Flow

This practical workshop will look at producing and critiquing believable and realistic sales forecasts and cash flows. This will enable you and your investors to look at how the money flows in and out of your business - your liquidity - and whether the numbers add up.

Balancing Your Profit

Whilst cash flow is vital, especially in the early stages of your business, you will only survive and grow in the long term if you make profits. This workshop shows how a Profit and Loss forecast, in tandem with the Balance Sheet, helps you develop your long-term profitability and sustainability.
